Description

The Lamb of God - John1:29-31

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

The lion of Judah - Revelation 5:5

So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read[a] the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose[b] its seven seals.”

And some words for comfort:

Comfort in Suffering - 2 Corinthians 1: 3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ

Jesus; both symbolised as a lamb, and as a lion.
Both a weak, and submissive animal, and yet as powerful as a lion, able to open the scrolls. ..

.. I think, I must understand this more before I can write something more about this.

... But I can say, Studying upon Jesus character.. oh.. it's contageous. If you realise how revolutionary He was, if you realize how everything in the Bible leads to the revelation of His character + His salvation... it's just mindblowing.. you'll want to know more, and eventualy, that example He has set, will trigger you to go near Him.. to keep on searching

So, yes! studying upon that character of Jesus might be an incredible first step on that journey.
and as a first, I point you straight to the Bible. There in the 4 evangelical books: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John you'll see His works manifested.
another way for you, is reading from a book that uses the Bible as a solemn base.
Such a book, is "Desire of ages," written by Ellen Gould White. You can buy the book from Amazon or other online stores, but it's also free online for you to read: www.whiteestate.org/books/da/d…
Also, if you speak a different language, there might be a chance that this book got translated already. as I've read it correctly, 60 different languages should be available for the book.
I haven't finished it yet, but I'm blown away by everything I've read so far. It's incredible how Jesus is portrayed here, focussing on some very specific details while not losing track of the bigger image.

I can highly recommend it! :-)
